Wedding Venues Estepona
Wedding venues in Estepona, the flower-filled corner of the Costa del Sol, twenty minutes from Marbella and a world away from it.
Bring more joy and laughter to your special event with Swish Soirées. Let's make every moment unforgettable.
Why get married in Estepona?
Estepona gives you the beaches and the weather of the Costa del Sol with an old town that stayed Spanish, twenty minutes from Marbella and noticeably cheaper.
- Flower-filled old town, genuinely lovely rather than a resort strip
- Sierra Bermeja behind and the Mediterranean in front, so every venue has both
- Better value than Marbella for venues and accommodation alike
- Two airports within forty five minutes, giving guests a choice of fares
- Beach clubs, hillside villas, golf estates and fincas within a few minutes of each other
- Quiet enough that guests feel they are in Spain rather than on a holiday strip
Wedding Venues in Estepona
Estepona is the Costa del Sol town that most surprises couples. It has the beaches and the weather that bring people to this coast, but it kept its old town, and that old town is genuinely lovely: narrow streets, whitewashed walls and thousands of flower pots in blues and terracotta, replanted by the town hall every year.
It sits twenty minutes west of Marbella and about forty five from Málaga airport, which puts it close enough for guests to reach easily and far enough out that you are not paying Marbella prices for the same sunshine.
Why couples choose Estepona
The setting does a lot of the work. The Sierra Bermeja rises directly behind the town, so almost every venue has mountains on one side and the Mediterranean on the other, and on a clear day you can see Gibraltar and the Moroccan coast from the higher ground.
It is also calmer than the resorts either side of it. Guests can walk the promenade, eat in the old town and feel like they are in a Spanish town rather than a holiday strip, which matters when you are asking people to spend three or four days here.
Venue styles range from beachfront clubs and chiringuitos to hillside villas, golf estates and small fincas in the hills behind. Most of the coastal venues will hold a hundred to a hundred and fifty guests comfortably.
Getting here
Málaga airport is around forty five minutes by car, and Gibraltar airport about forty, which gives UK guests two arrival options and often two sets of fares to choose between.
There is no train to Estepona, so plan transport rather than assuming guests will manage. A coach from the airport for the main group and a couple of minibuses on the day is usually the calmest and cheapest arrangement.
When to marry here
May, June, September and early October are the sweet spots, warm and dry but not punishing. July and August regularly sit above thirty degrees well into the evening, which pushes ceremonies later and makes shade essential.
Estepona catches a reliable afternoon breeze off the sea, which is welcome in summer and worth planning around if you want candles, an unamplified ceremony or a loose hairstyle.
Good to know
Noise curfews are set by the municipality and by each venue's own licence, so two venues a few minutes apart can have very different cut-off times. Confirm yours in writing before booking a band.
Beach ceremonies on public sand need a permit from the town hall, and the paperwork takes longer than couples expect. Private beach clubs sidestep this, which is why most of our couples use one.
Many of the hillside villas here are in residential areas with stricter sound limits than commercial venues, despite feeling more remote.

What our couples say
From the moment we found Swish Soirées, we knew we were in safe hands. Planning our wedding from Madrid while organising guests travelling from across Europe could have been overwhelming, but every step was handled with professionalism and genuine care. The venue looked even more beautiful than we imagined, and every supplier was exceptional. Our family still talks about how magical the whole day was. Thank you for making our dream wedding a reality.
We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planning experience. Every recommendation was perfect, communication was excellent and everything ran exactly as planned on the day. We were able to relax and enjoy every minute with our family and friends, knowing everything was being taken care of behind the scenes. It was simply unforgettable.
Our wedding on the Costa del Sol was everything we'd hoped it would be. Every little detail reflected us as a couple, and the whole day felt relaxed, elegant and full of joy. We never imagined planning a destination wedding could be so straightforward. The support we received throughout the process gave us complete confidence, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
Choosing Swish Soirées was one of the best decisions we made. From helping us find the perfect venue to coordinating our suppliers and managing the wedding day itself, everything was organised so professionally. We didn't have to worry about a single thing, which meant we could simply enjoy every moment with the people we love. We would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in Spain.
Getting married in Spain had always been our dream, and it exceeded every expectation. The planning process was enjoyable from start to finish, and every question we had was answered quickly and honestly. The attention to detail was outstanding, and the entire celebration felt effortless. Our guests described it as the best wedding they'd ever attended, and we couldn't agree more.
We honestly couldn't have wished for a better experience. Planning a destination wedding from Ireland seemed like a challenge at first, but from our very first call we knew we had made the right choice. When the day arrived, everything was exactly as we'd imagined and the whole day flowed effortlessly. If you're thinking of getting married in Spain, we can't recommend this team highly enough.

Weddings in Estepona
How far is Estepona from Málaga airport?
+
Around forty five minutes by car. Gibraltar airport is about forty minutes, which gives guests a second option and often cheaper fares. There is no train service, so arrange coaches or minibuses rather than relying on taxis.
Can we get married on the beach in Estepona?
+
On a private beach club, easily. On public sand you need a permit from the town hall, and the process takes longer than most couples allow. Almost all of our Estepona beach weddings use a beach club, which also solves shade, power and facilities in one go.
How many guests do Estepona venues hold?
+
Most coastal venues take a hundred to a hundred and fifty comfortably. Hillside villas tend to be smaller, often sixty to a hundred, and the fincas behind the town vary considerably. Tell us your numbers early, because it narrows the shortlist more than any other factor.
Is Estepona cheaper than Marbella?
+
Generally yes, for both venues and accommodation, while being twenty minutes away and sharing the same coastline and climate. It is one of the easiest savings to make on a Costa del Sol wedding without compromising on the day itself.
Are there beach venues in Estepona?
+
Yes, along the seafront and at the beach clubs either side of the marina. A private beach club is the simplest route, since it handles the permissions, shade, power and facilities that a public beach ceremony does not.
What is the largest venue in Estepona?
+
Coastal venues here typically take a hundred to a hundred and fifty guests comfortably. Hillside villas are usually smaller at sixty to a hundred. Tell us your numbers early, because it narrows the shortlist faster than anything else.
Can we marry legally in Estepona?
+
A civil marriage in Spain generally requires one partner to be resident, so most of our couples complete the legal marriage at home and hold a symbolic ceremony here. Gibraltar, forty minutes away, is the usual alternative for a legal ceremony nearby.
