Bring more joy and laughter to your special event with Swish Soirées. Let's make every moment unforgettable.
Why get married in Cyprus?
Cyprus sits further east and south than anywhere else we work, which gives it the longest reliable wedding season in the Mediterranean.
- April through October reliably, the widest window of anywhere we work
- Among the easiest legal processes in Europe, conducted in English
- Paphos and Limassol on the coast, the Troodos mountains inland
- A strong British connection and English widely spoken
- Direct flights from UK and Irish cities to two airports
- Small enough to cross in a couple of hours
Wedding Venues in Cyprus
Cyprus sits further east and further south than anywhere else we work, and the practical consequence is the longest reliable season in the Mediterranean. Couples marry here comfortably from April through to the end of October, and often either side of that.
Like Malta, it has a strong British connection, English is widely spoken, and the legal process for foreign couples is straightforward.
Where to marry
Paphos is the most established for weddings, with a long run of coastal hotels and venues and its own airport with direct UK flights.
Limassol offers a working city with a marina and a wider range of restaurants and nightlife for guests, and sits between the two airports.
The Troodos mountains inland are a different Cyprus entirely: pine forests, stone villages and wineries, noticeably cooler in summer and rarely considered by couples who only look at the coast.
The legal side
Cyprus is among the easiest places in Europe for foreign couples to marry legally. There is no residency requirement beyond a short notice period, the process runs in English through the local municipality, and it is genuinely quick.
It is one of the few destinations where we would suggest marrying legally on site rather than at home, simply because it is so straightforward.
Getting here
Paphos and Larnaca both have direct flights from UK and Irish cities, and the flight is around four and a half hours, longer than Spain but with a shorter transfer at the other end.
The island is small enough to cross in a couple of hours, so venue choice does not tie guests to one airport.
When to marry here
April to October reliably, which is a wider window than anywhere else on this list. July and August are very hot, often above thirty five degrees inland.
The Troodos mountains stay several degrees cooler and are a sensible option for a high summer wedding.
