Hacienda Almoguera is a working farmstead turned events estate just outside Los Barrios, in the Campo de Gibraltar. It was founded in 1797 by the Larios family as the main farmhouse of their Monte de la Torre estate (Bodas.net) and is still part of the family's farm business (Andalucía tourism board). The house looks out over the cork-oak forests of Los Alcornocales Natural Park, and the surrounding woodland and gardens keep it quiet and private.
A wedding here has a classic Andalusian rhythm. Guests gather in the orange-tree patio for drinks, you can marry outdoors in the gardens, and dinner moves into a large columnless hall before the party spills back outside. Only one event is held each day (Bodas.net), and the night can run until 6am (Bodas.net), so there is no rush to wind down.

Hacienda Almoguera was built as the heart of a large rural estate, and it still feels like one. The patio, gallery, riding arena and tentadero all come from its life as a working farm, and they give a wedding here a strong sense of place. Restoration has added the comforts a big celebration needs, including a hall large enough for a few hundred guests, a renovated kitchen and secure parking for coaches, without losing the character of a traditional Cádiz cortijo.

Accommodation at Hacienda Almoguera
The estate has four small guest units and a separate room for getting ready (Bodas.net), which is enough for the couple and close family. Everyone else stays nearby: Sotogrande, Algeciras and Gibraltar are all a short drive away and between them offer everything from smart golf hotels to simple, good-value stays.

Catering is exclusive to the venue and is charged separately; per-person menu prices are not published and depend on the menu you choose (Bodas.net).
