Common questions about Finca Amalur
How many guests can Finca Amalur hold?
+
Between 50 and 500 guests. The gardens and terraces seat around 500 for an outdoor banquet, and the air-conditioned indoor hall seats around 400, so a large wedding is covered whatever the weather.
Where can we hold the ceremony?
+
Most couples marry on the garden terrace, where the aisle leads to a draped gazebo with the Mediterranean behind it. There is also a dedicated area for civil-style and symbolic ceremonies, and the pergolas and lawns can be dressed for smaller ceremonies.
Can we get legally married at Finca Amalur?
+
A legal civil wedding in Spain usually requires at least one partner to be resident, so most couples from the UK and Ireland marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony at the venue. A Catholic wedding can take place at a church in Marbella first. We guide you through the options.
Who does the catering?
+
Catering is exclusive to Alabardero Catering, which runs the venue and has more than 40 years' experience. Menus start from around €100 and typically run to about €156 per guest, with an open bar included, and the kitchen can cater for vegetarian, vegan, coeliac, halal and kosher diets (Bodas.net). The venue cannot be hired without the catering.
Can we bring our own DJ or band?
+
Music is exclusive to the venue's own supplier, so outside DJs and bands may not be possible or may carry a charge. You are free to choose your own photographer. We confirm the music arrangements in writing before you book.
What time does the party finish?
+
The finish time is agreed in your contract. Extending the evening usually means extending the open bar, which is charged separately, so we agree the timings and costs up front so there are no surprises on the night.
Is there accommodation at Finca Amalur?
+
No. There are no bedrooms on site, so guests stay in Marbella, which has hotels for every budget a short drive away. We arrange room blocks and transport between the hotels and the venue.
How much does a wedding at Finca Amalur cost?
+
Menus start from around €100 per guest and typically run to about €156, with an open bar included (Bodas.net). There is also a fixed venue fee, which is not published, and a minimum of 50 guests. We get you a full, written quotation before you commit.
Is it exclusive use?
+
The venue holds one event per day, so your wedding has the gardens, terraces and hall to itself.
What happens if it rains?
+
The air-conditioned indoor hall seats around 400 and opens onto the terrace, so the ceremony, dinner or party can move inside without losing the feel of the day.
Is there parking and step-free access?
