I started Swish Soirées in 2019 because I wanted to offer couples more than planning and coordination: a hub that gives a real overview of venues and suppliers, so you can make an informed choice rather than take whoever pays for a listing. We take no commission from any venue, and you pay suppliers their own rate.
As destination wedding planners and on-the-day wedding coordinators, we plan weddings at wedding venues in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and beyond. Planning is charged at €75 per hour plus VAT, with a 10-hour minimum, so you pay for the time your wedding actually takes.

A few things we have learned from more than a hundred weddings.
Secure your venue, planner, caterer and photographer as early as you can. The very best suppliers are often booked twelve to eighteen months ahead, especially for peak-season and destination dates.
Agree a total figure early, then decide where it matters most to you. Build in a contingency of around ten percent for the lovely surprises every wedding brings.
Choose the two or three things that matter most, whether that's the food, the flowers or the party, and put your budget and energy there first.
Think about travel, accommodation and timings from their side. A little care over transport and downtime makes the whole day feel effortless for everyone.
Leave breathing room between moments. A relaxed pace photographs beautifully and, more importantly, lets you actually savour your own wedding.
For outdoor and destination weddings especially, a considered wet-weather or backup plan means you can relax and enjoy the day whatever the skies decide to do.
We build a bespoke timeline for every wedding. As a guide, here is how a classic UK-style day might flow. Abroad, especially in Spain and Italy, everything usually runs two to three hours later.

For a wedding abroad it matters more, because the venue, suppliers, paperwork and language are all unfamiliar. Full planning covers everything from the first idea to the last dance, and suits destination weddings and busy couples. Partial planning picks up a wedding you have already started, usually with the venue booked, and carries it home. On-the-day coordination is for couples who have planned everything themselves and want a professional team to take over in the final weeks and run the day.
Twelve to eighteen months ahead gives you the best choice of venues and suppliers, especially for a summer Saturday or a popular destination. Shorter timelines are possible, and winter or weekday dates often have availability six to nine months out. Legal paperwork for marrying abroad has its own lead time, so we plan that first.
Yes. We start with your style, guest numbers, budget and area, then shortlist venues that fit, with honest notes on capacity, curfews, supplier rules and wet-weather plans. We arrange viewings in person or by video. Because we take no commission from any venue, the shortlist is built around you.
We build an itemised budget with you at the start, help you decide where the money matters most, and get complete quotations rather than headline prices, including staffing, furniture, heating, lighting and minimum numbers. We negotiate with suppliers and you pay their own rate, with nothing added by us.
Yes, it is most of what we do. We plan weddings in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece, and further afield on request. That includes the legal requirements or a symbolic ceremony, guest travel and accommodation, local suppliers and someone on the ground who speaks the language. Between us we speak English, Spanish and German.
As involved as you like. Some couples want to approve every napkin; others want three decisions a month and a beautifully organised day. We agree how you want to work at the start and plan around it.
That is exactly what we are there for. We manage weather changes, supplier delays and timing problems quietly, with a wet-weather plan agreed in advance and one named person making decisions. Most couples never know anything happened.
