Tips for planning the perfect wedding
A few things we've learned from planning hundreds of celebrations, to help yours run beautifully.
Book the big things first
Secure your venue, planner, caterer and photographer as early as you can. The very best suppliers are often booked twelve to eighteen months ahead, especially for peak-season and destination dates.
Set a realistic budget
Agree a total figure early, then decide where it matters most to you. Build in a contingency of around ten percent for the lovely surprises every wedding brings.
Prioritise what you love
Choose the two or three things that matter most, whether that's the food, the flowers or the party, and put your budget and energy there first.
Look after your guests
Think about travel, accommodation and timings from their side. A little care over transport and downtime makes the whole day feel effortless for everyone.
Don't over-fill the day
Leave breathing room between moments. A relaxed pace photographs beautifully and, more importantly, lets you actually savour your own wedding.
Always have a plan B
For outdoor and destination weddings especially, a considered wet-weather or backup plan means you can relax and enjoy the day whatever the skies decide to do.

Every wedding is different, and we build a bespoke timeline for yours. As a guide, here's how a classic celebration might flow from morning to midnight.

The photographer captures the details, the dress and those candid getting-ready moments.
