Best time of year and day to marry in Marbella
Marbella enjoys one of the longest, most reliable wedding seasons in Europe, from April to October. Late spring and early autumn are the sweet spot, with warm, sunny days and none of the peak-summer heat. Here are the average daytime highs across the season.
● Our couples' favourite months. July and August are glorious but hot, so we plan plenty of shade and evening celebrations.
The best time of day
Timing makes all the difference in the Marbella sun. At the height of summer it is at its fiercest between about 1pm and 4pm, so a midday ceremony in an open, shadeless spot can be uncomfortable for you and your guests.
We usually plan the ceremony for the late afternoon, when the heat eases and the light turns golden, then let the evening unfold at its own pace. The most sought-after venues book up well ahead, so we recommend planning twelve to eighteen months in advance where you can.
- 5:30pmCeremony
Softer light and cooler air as the fierce midday sun begins to drop.
- 6:30pmDrinks & canapés
Golden-hour photographs while your guests relax and mingle.
- 8:00pmDinner at sunset
Al fresco dining as the sky turns pink over the sea.
- 10:00pmDancing under the stars
The party comes alive in the cool of the evening.
How much does a Marbella wedding cost?
Marbella sits at the more exclusive end of the coast, and costs depend on your guest numbers, your choice of venue and the style of celebration. As a broad guide, venue hire typically ranges from around €7,000 to €12,000 for the day, with a full wedding for roughly 100 guests often falling between €30,000 and €40,000. We plan beautifully across a range of budgets.
Activities for your wedding guests
A Marbella wedding is easy to turn into a glamorous few days away, with plenty for your guests to enjoy before and after the celebration.
Puerto Banús
Designer shopping, waterfront dining, superyachts and lively evenings around the marina.
Beaches & old town
Golden beaches and chic beach clubs, plus the orange-tree square and lanes of the Casco Antiguo.
Golf & spa
Championship courses in the golf valley, luxury spas and boat trips along the coast.

Marbella wedding FAQs
What is the most popular area to get married in Marbella?
+
The Golden Mile and Puerto Banús are perennial favourites, thanks to their landmark hotels, beach clubs and marina glamour. For privacy, the exclusive villas of Sierra Blanca are hugely popular, while Nueva Andalucía offers relaxed golf-valley settings.
Can we get married on the beach in Marbella?
+
Yes. Marbella has beautiful beaches and stylish beach clubs, from the Golden Mile to Elviria, ideal for barefoot ceremonies and seafront receptions. We handle any permits and match the beach to the look and privacy you want.
Are there villas with sea and mountain views?
+
Absolutely. The hillside neighbourhoods of Sierra Blanca and Nagüeles, beneath the La Concha mountain, are known for private villas where you can enjoy the Mediterranean and the mountains in a single frame.
How far is Marbella from Málaga Airport?
+
Around forty minutes by car, along the coastal motorway. It makes arrival easy for you and your guests, and Marbella has a wealth of hotels for every budget.
When is the best time to get married in Marbella?
+
Late spring and early autumn are ideal, with warm, sunny days without the peak-summer heat. The season runs from April to October, and we plan around your date and help you choose the right time of day.
What day trips would you recommend for guests?
+
Puerto Banús is a must for an evening out, and further afield the clifftop town of Ronda, the vibrant city of Málaga and the Rock of Gibraltar all make wonderful day trips. For those staying longer, Granada and the Alhambra are unforgettable.
Can you arrange activities or excursions for our group?
+
Absolutely. We can organise anything from welcome dinners and beach club days to yacht charters, golf, wine tasting and guided tours, so your guests have a wonderful time around the wedding itself.
How far in advance should we book?
+
We recommend twelve to eighteen months ahead where you can, especially for weekend dates in peak season, as Marbella's finest venues and suppliers book up early. We also plan beautiful weddings on shorter timelines.
Can you plan our wedding if we live in the UK or Ireland?
+
Absolutely, and most of our couples do exactly that. We handle everything on the ground, arrange virtual and in-person viewings, and keep you updated at every step.
Do you help with the legal paperwork and translations?
+
Yes. We guide you through the options, help you gather and translate the right documents, and connect you with celebrants and officiants we trust. As requirements can change, we always confirm the current rules with the local authorities.
What exactly do you look after on the day?
+
Everything. We run the schedule, coordinate every supplier, manage the timings and quietly handle anything that comes up, so you and your guests can simply relax and enjoy the celebration.
