Wedding Venue

Anantara Villa Padierna Palace, Marbella

Anantara Villa Padierna Palace sits in the hills behind the Costa del Sol, between Marbella, Benahavís and Estepona, around ten minutes inland from the sea (Michelin Guide). Designed by British architect Ed Gilbert in the style of a Tuscan palace, it displays more than 1,200 works of art (Business Traveller). The hotel joined Anantara in 2019 as the brand's first resort in Spain, and today holds one Michelin Key (Michelin Guide), with three golf courses and a 2,000 sqm spa on the estate (Minor Hotels).

A wedding here feels grand without trying too hard. Vows can be said in a Roman-style amphitheatre, a tiny private chapel or on the sea at the hotel's beach club, before dinner on a terrace or in the palace ballroom (venue brochure). The hotel has its own wedding team, can arrange Jewish ceremonies and offers a private villa for getting ready (venue website).

The venue

The spaces

Roman Amphitheatre

A white-carpet aisle framed by gardens and statues, used for ceremonies and gala dinners with dancing for up to 300 guests (venue brochure).

The Chapel

A secluded private chapel for intimate ceremonies of up to 20 guests (venue brochure).

Linares Terrace & Ballroom

An open-air terrace with a sweeping marble staircase leading to a palace-style ballroom and foyers, the largest space at the resort.

La Veranda Terrace

A private, leafy terrace for al fresco dinners of up to 140 guests (venue brochure).

Beach Club

The hotel's beachfront club, with views towards the Moroccan coast, for seaside vows and receptions of up to 300 guests (venue brochure).

Palace & amphitheatre

A Roman stage in the hills

Few hotels on the coast can offer guests an amphitheatre for the vows and a ballroom for the party.

The amphitheatre is the space most couples come for: tiered stone seating, a white carpet down the centre and the gardens and sculpture collection all around. It takes up to 300 guests for a ceremony or a gala dinner followed by dancing (venue brochure). After dark, the Linares Terrace is lit up and the marble staircase makes a natural first entrance, with the ballroom ready for larger dinners or if the weather turns.

Budget

What a wedding here costs

Wedding menus at Villa Padierna start at €140 per guest and run to around €165, with a minimum of 10 diners (Bodas.net, 2026). On menus alone, that means about €14,000 to €16,500 for 100 guests, before drinks, décor, music and accommodation. For context, the average wedding in Spain costs €25,183 (Bodas.net, 2026), so a full celebration here will usually sit well above that. The hotel's events team quotes each wedding individually, so ask for a tailored proposal once you know your numbers and date.
