Son Doblons is a recently restored, exclusive-use estate in the countryside of north-east Mallorca, near Artà, set in 130 hectares of olive groves and farmland with views to the sea and the mountains. The beaches are about 4 km away, and Palma and its airport around 50 minutes (Wedinspire; myprivatevillas.com).
Its great treasure is seven gardens linked by paths of jasmine and bougainvillea, with fountains, lily ponds, roses and agapanthus. Weddings begin with a welcome drink at the double-arched entrance and vows in the gardens, then cocktails by the pool, a Mediterranean dinner, and an open bar and disco on the olive esplanade. It holds up to 220 guests and sleeps 18.

With a five-night minimum, Son Doblons is made for a proper wedding week with your closest family and friends (Wedinspire).
Between the celebrations there is tennis, football, the pool and the gardens to explore, with horse riding, hiking and yoga easily arranged and golf about 20 minutes away. The venue works alongside a leading island wedding planner on lighting, décor and the day itself, and catering is by your chosen external caterer.

Accommodation at Son Doblons
Eight spacious, air-conditioned suites sleep 18, each with its own sitting room, fireplace and terrace opening onto one of the gardens, and accommodation is included in the price (Wedinspire). Other guests can stay in Artà, Capdepera or the beach resorts of the north-east coast nearby.
What a wedding here costs
Weddings at Son Doblons start from €15,000, including accommodation for the five-night minimum stay. Yes. We can plan your whole wedding at Son Doblons, including sourcing the caterer, or coordinate the day you have planned. Planning is charged at €75 per hour plus VAT with a 10-hour minimum, and on-day coordination starts at €750 for a half day plus VAT. Most UK and Irish couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony here.
