Trocadero Sotogrande
Trocadero Sotogrande
Trocadero Sotogrande is a beach club right on the sand in the heart of Sotogrande, a few kilometres from Gibraltar. It stands on the site of El Cucurucho, the club that served the resort for around 30 years, and was redesigned and renamed for the 2015 season (andalucia.com), keeping the landmark pale blue cone. Today it combines lawns, two pools, sunbeds, a Mediterranean restaurant and a summer-only Thai and Japanese kitchen, all dressed in a relaxed African colonial style.
A wedding here is a barefoot-elegant beach party on a big scale. Drinks flow around the pools as the sun drops over the sea, dinner is served on the terraces or under the palapa, and the dance floor carries on into the night. The club's own kitchen handles the food, and the large outdoor areas suit everything from a long-table dinner to a lively cocktail-style celebration.
The spaces
Pool and circular bar
The main pool area seats up to 300 or takes around 400 for a standing reception (Bodas.net).
Pool, palapa and tent area
A second pool zone that seats up to 200 outdoors, 70 under the palapa, or nearly 500 for drinks (Bodas.net).
Lawns and beachfront
Green lawns running down towards the sand, ideal for welcome drinks and sunset photographs.
Mediterranean restaurant
The club's year-round restaurant, serving market-led Mediterranean cooking.
Asian restaurant
A Thai and Japanese kitchen that opens in the summer months only (Grupo Trocadero).
A beach club built for big parties
Trocadero Sotogrande can welcome very large weddings without losing its laid-back beach-club feel.
With two separate pool areas, lawns and direct beach frontage, the club can host up to 1,000 guests for a wedding, and up to 1,800 across its outdoor spaces for a cocktail-style event (Bodas.net). It holds only one event per day, and the kitchen adapts menus for vegetarian, vegan, coeliac and diabetic guests. Outside the public season, from roughly October to Easter, the whole club can be booked for private events (Grupo Trocadero).

Accommodation at Trocadero Sotogrande
Trocadero has no rooms of its own (Bodas.net). Sotogrande has a good choice of places to stay within a short drive, from the larger resort hotels to boutique options near the marina and in Torreguadiaro, and many families rent villas in the resort for the wedding week.
What a wedding here costs
Wedding menus at Trocadero start from €150 per guest, and there is no fixed venue fee; instead, exclusive use of each area carries a minimum spend that depends on the zone you choose (Bodas.net, 2026). The open bar is charged as a fixed total for a set number of hours. Full payment is due in advance. For context, the average wedding in Spain costs €25,183 (Bodas.net, 2026), so a full-sized wedding here will usually sit above that.
