Mas Huix is a centuries-old Catalan estate high in the forested hills above Santa Coloma de Farners, about 30 minutes from Girona Airport. Beautifully restored, it pairs exposed stone and timber beams with modern comfort, and looks out across mountains, woods and the valley below (Wedinspire; casasrurales.net).
The estate takes in the main house, a renovated hayloft, a little family chapel, a 200 m² terrace, a lawn with an iron pergola and a lookout for sunset toasts. It is made for intimate weddings of up to 50 guests, sleeps 28, and is yours alone for at least three nights. There is no supplier exclusivity, so you can bring the caterer and team you love (Wedinspire).

The Huix family chapel
The estate's chapel was built in honour of Bishop Salvi Huix, who was born at Mas Huix (Wedinspire).
He became Bishop of Lleida, was killed in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War and was beatified in 2013 (Wikipedia). The chapel, with its gilded altarpiece, is no longer consecrated but seats up to 25, so it is lovely for a small symbolic ceremony or a quiet moment together before the celebrations begin.

Accommodation at Mas Huix
The farmhouse sleeps 28 in ten individually styled suites and rooms plus a bridal suite, with rustic dining rooms, exposed stone and vaulted ceilings (Wedinspire). The starting price includes a three-night stay for 28, so most of an intimate wedding party can stay on site. Between celebrations there is mini-golf, sports courts, pétanque and walking trails through the forest.

Catering and drinks are priced on request, and with no supplier exclusivity or kitchen fee you are free to choose your own caterer (Wedinspire, 2027–28 pricing).
