Finca La Bobadilla
Finca La Bobadilla, Granada
Finca La Bobadilla is a five-star country hotel set on a vast olive and oak estate in the Sierra de Loja, between Granada and Málaga. It began in 1985 as a restaurant (Hotels Above Par) and grew into a hotel laid out like a whitewashed Andalusian village, with courtyards, fountains and a chapel at its heart. After years as a Barceló Royal Hideaway, it is now run by the Spanish group Único Hotels, which took over in 2025 and renovated the property (Markets of Tomorrow).
A wedding here feels like taking over a private village in the hills. Ceremonies are held in the chapel or by the pool garden, drinks flow in the patios as the sun drops behind the sierra, and dinner is served on a terrace or in one of the restaurants. With rooms for guests on site and a spa, horses and walking trails to fill the days around it, many couples turn the wedding into a weekend.
The spaces
The Chapel
A late-Mudéjar style chapel with carved wooden ceilings, stained glass and a large organ, seating up to 80 for the ceremony (Único Hotels).
Pool Garden
A garden beside the pool used for outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions.
El Patio
The central courtyard, which can host up to 160 for cocktails or a seated dinner (Único Hotels).
Heliport
An open-air platform with wide views that takes up to 180 for drinks or 150 for dinner (Único Hotels).
La Jara Restaurant
The hotel's restaurant, with a terrace facing the sierra, available for receptions and banquets.
El Mirador
A space overlooking the pools that seats up to 150 for a banquet (Único Hotels).
The chapel at the heart of the finca
Few hotels in Andalucía have their own chapel, and La Bobadilla's is a showpiece.
Rising above the main courtyard, the chapel is the tallest building in the hotel's village and is not consecrated (Forbes; Bodas.net), which makes it well suited to symbolic ceremonies. Inside are carved wooden ceilings, stained-glass windows and what the hotel describes as the largest private organ in Europe (Único Hotels). From there, guests only need to step out into the patios for drinks, so the whole day flows within the estate, framed by olive groves and the hills of the Sierra de Loja.

What a wedding here costs
Finca La Bobadilla prices its weddings on request, but menus are listed from €90 per guest, with a range of €90 to €180 per person (Bodas.net, 2026). Catering is provided only by the hotel, and a minimum room booking applies to events, so accommodation forms part of the overall budget. Drinks can be charged by consumption or as a fixed package.
