Grand Hotel Las Dunas
Grand Hotel Las Dunas, Estepona
Grand Hotel Las Dunas is a beachfront luxury hotel on the New Golden Mile between Marbella and Estepona. Built in the style of a Spanish hacienda, it has an octagonal tower, a fountain courtyard and gardens inspired by the Generalife at the Alhambra, with a water channel running down to an infinity pool and the sea. On clear days you can see Gibraltar and the mountains of Morocco.
The hotel has reopened as part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, with around 50 suites, a spa and the Casa Calma restaurants. It holds one wedding per day and suits intimate celebrations: a ceremony on the sea-view lawn, then drinks and canapés in the gardens, with everyone staying on site.
The spaces
The Sea-View Lawn
A shaded lawn beneath old trees at the edge of the gardens, with nothing but the Mediterranean behind your ceremony.
The Alhambra Gardens
Palms, jasmine, marble statues and an octagonal fountain with a water channel down to the pool.
The Infinity Pool
A palm-framed pool looking out to sea, a beautiful backdrop for drinks and sunset photographs.
The Octagonal Pavilion
Casa Calma's dining pavilion, with a tiled floor, a high timber ceiling and views over the gardens.
The Entrance Courtyard
A cobbled courtyard with a fountain and arched windows, lovely for a welcome drink.
Around 50 Suites
Junior, garden-view and sea-view suites, so you and your guests can stay together.
An intimate wedding by the sea
Las Dunas is made for smaller weddings. The hotel's wedding listing is for 10 to 50 guests, with a standing cocktail-style reception rather than a long seated dinner (Bodas.net).
Picture a ceremony on the lawn with the sea behind you, cava and canapés in the gardens as the sun goes down, and a weekend of spa time, beach walks and long lunches with your closest people. If your guest list is bigger, talk to us: we check what the hotel can offer for your numbers and date.
